Analisis Daya Saing Ekspor Crude Palm Oil (CPO) Indonesia Tahun 2013-2022
This research aims to determine the competitiveness of Indonesia's Crude Palm Oil (CPO) exports in the 2013-2022 period. The method used is quantitative using Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA) and Trading Specialization Index (ISP) values which facilitate more accurate analysis. This research was conducted in Indonesia with data sourced from the official websites of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Ministry of Agriculture, World Bank and International Monetary Fund. The data used is annual time series data from the 2013-2022 period because it tends to be more consistent in format and collection methodology. The data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis using the comparative advantage analysis method or RCA, RSCA, and ISP. The research results show that Indonesia has a significant comparative advantage in Crude Palm Oil (CPO) exports from 2013 to 2019. The consistently high RCA value, reaching a peak of 69,09 in 2016, reflects strong competitiveness in the global market. The RSCA index also shows the stability of comparative advantage, with the highest value of 0,97. However, in 2020, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic caused a decline in the RCA value to 50,66 and RSCA to 0,96, indicating a decline in competitiveness. However, then there will be a recovery in 2021 and 2022, the RCA and RSCA values will return to their peak before the pandemic, indicating that the Indonesian CPO industry is able to face challenges, apart from that, Indonesia's ISP will also reflect high specialization if the export value is much higher than the import value, based on High Indonesian ISP (between 0,96-0,97).
