Gambaran Klinis Dan Laboratorium Pasien Tuberkulosis Dengan Efusi Pleura Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Tahun 2019-2023
Tuberculous pleurisy is an infection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis that attacks the membrane covering the lungs or pleura. This infection occurs due to rupture in the pleura causing accumulation of pleural fluid. The purpose of this study was to determine the clinical and laboratory features of tuberculosis patients with pleural effusion at Arifin Achmad Hospital in 2019-2023. The research method is descriptive using secondary data, namely medical records. Of the total 647 tuberculosis patients, 95 patients with pleural effusion (14.7%) were found. The results showed that patients were generally 45-64 years old (46.3%), male gender (72.2%), comorbidities were generally diabetes mellitus (48.1%), and clinical ≥ 3 symptoms (81.5%). Radiological features were generally pleural effusion (59.3%). Laboratory features generally showed anemia (83.3%), leukocytosis (55.6%) and increased CRP levels (72.2%). Pleural fluid analysis is generally exudate (59.3%). Sputum PCR obtained positive MTB Rifampicin sensitive (44.4%). The conclusion of this study was that significant clinical features in tuberculosis patients with pleural effusion were shortness of breath, cough and chest pain with the main comorbid diabetes mellitus. Significant laboratory features were hemoglobin levels, leukocytes, CRP, pleural fluid analysis, and sputum PCR.
