Aplikasi Beberapa Konsentrasi Kitosan Dalam Mengendalikan Fusarium Oxysporum Schlecht Penyebab Penyakit Rebah Kecambah Bawang Merah Di Persemaian
ABSTRACT
Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is one of the horticultural crop commodities that is widely consumed by the community because it has various benefits. Shallot production in Riau Province is still categorized as low compared to other provinces such as North Sumatra and West Sumatra. It is necessary to increase production by using shallot seeds from seeds known as true shallot seeds (TSS). Sprout lodging disease in shallot plants is caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht. Chitosan has the potential to be used as an antimicrobial material because it contains lysosyme enzymes and aminopolysacharide groups that can inhibit microbial growth. The study aims to test the effect of several concentrations of chitosan and get a concentration that is more capable of controlling the fungus F. oxysporum Schlecht that causes damping-off disease of shallot in the nursery. This research was conducted experimentally arranged according to a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 7 treatments with 4 replications so that 28 experimental units were obtained. The treatments in this study were without F. oxysporum and chitosan The results obtained were analyzed statistically and variance analysis and further tested with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the 5% level.
