Implementasi Model Problem Based Learning (Pbl) Dalam Konteks Bisnis Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas Xii Bdp 1 Smkn 1 Pekanbaru
This study aims to improve the mathematical problem-solving skills of students of SMKN 1 Pekanbaru by applying the Problem Based Learning model. This type of research is class action research, with the research subjects of class XII BDP 1 students of SMKN 1 Pekanbaru totaling 35 students. This research was conducted in two cycles. Cycle I consists of two meetings and cycle II consists of three meetings. This research was conducted on August 18 to October 7, 2024. The research instruments consisted of learning devices containing the Flow of Learning Objectives (ATP) and Teaching Modules. Data collection instruments in the form of teacher and learner activity observation sheets. The results showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning process and can improve the mathematical problem-solving skills of students from XII BDP 1 SMKN 1 Pekanbaru. The increase in student’s mathematical problem-solving skills can be seen in the analysis of mathematical problem-solving skills classically. The average value of the initial ability of student’s mathematical problem-solving skills before the action (initial test) was 32.5. The average mathematical problem-solving skills score of students in cycle I was 41,12. The average mathematical problem-solving skills score of students in cycle II is 52,8. The average mathematical problem-solving skills score of students in cycle I was 8,62 higher than the average initial test score. While the average mathematical problem-solving skills of students in cycle II was 11.68 higher than the average value of cycle I. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve the learning process and can improve mathematical problem-solving skills of XII BDP 1 students of SMKN 1 Pekanbaru in the 2024/2025 academic year on cuounting rules as a topic.
