Pemodelan Akustik Pada Pipa Menggunakan Sinyal Suara
ABSTRACT
Acoustics is the study of sound including its production, transmission and effects. Sound is the result of the vibration of objects in the form of an analog signal with amplitude that can change continuously with time and propagate through the air. Pipes and piping systems are very important in industry as they play a vital role in regulating fluid flow from one location to another efficiently. With the help of efficient pipes and piping systems help maintain the smooth operation of the industry as a whole. Because it has a very important role, it is not uncommon for pipes to experience damage. Damage to pipes can be in the form of leaks, blockages, and pipe ruptures that cause personal injury, facility damage, environmental damage, and economic losses, so damage detection is needed to be efficient in saving time and industrial operations run as usual.
Previous experiments have used sound signals to detect leaks and blockages in pipelines, but modeling is used for more complex analysis and more accurate results and to validate experimental results. Acoustic modeling of pipes is done to see the acoustic pressure differences that occur due to damage to pipes such as leaks and blockages. Modeling and simulation begins with creating a pipe geometry then validating and setting the mesh, setting the simulation setup, running the simulation, processing data in Matlab software.
