ABSTRACT
This Research on Improving Internet Access Reveals New Challenges in Maintaining Content Consistent with Moral, Social, and Religious Values, Especially in Educational Environments this research aims to analyze and implement access restrictions to websites containing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) content using the raw firewall method on a MikroTik router at SMP Negeri 5 Kelayang. The research was conducted through several stages, including observation, field data collection, raw firewall configuration, system testing, and result analysis using the Wireshark application. The developed system utilizes the Access Control List (ACL) feature to block LGBT-themed sites based on the HTTP and HTTPS protocols. The results of the trials show that the raw firewall method is effective in restricting access to irrelevant sites, with a success rate of 100% for sites listed in the filter. This research contributes to creating a safe and healthy internet environment in educational institutions. Future development recommendations include integration with an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) to enhance inspection capabilities up to the application layer, thus handling more complex threats from harmful content.
