Analisa Protokol Routing A-Star Untuk Komunikasi V2v Di Jalan H.R Soebrantas Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
The utilization and advancement of wireless technology have reached a significant level of maturity and widespread adoption. One such application is VANET (Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network), a wireless technology integrated into vehicles to enable communication between vehicles (V2V). Challenges arising from the dynamic nature and high-speed mobility of VANETs can be addressed through the utilization of routing protocols. However, the existence of numerous wireless network routing protocols necessitates a performance evaluation to determine the most effective routing protocol for implementation. This research focuses on evaluating the A-STAR routing protocol. The research methodology employed simulation techniques and relied on supporting software tools like Openstreetmap, SUMO, and OMNET++. The evaluation of the routing protocol's performance encompasses Quality of Service (QOS) parameters, including throughput, end-to- end delay, and packet delivery ratio. The study explores various scenarios involving changes in the number of vehicles, vehicle speeds, and the presence of Road Side Units (RSU).
