meningkatkan hasil belajar seni tari zapin menggunakan model pembelajarankooperatif tipe thinkpair share pada siswa kelas v sd negeri 138 pekanbaru
This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Zapin dance among fifthgrade
students at SD Negeri 138 Pekanbaru through the implementation of the Think
Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model. The background of this research lies in
the low interest and learning outcomes in dance education due to conventional
teaching methods that lack engagement and insufficient introduction to local cultural
heritage. Zapin dance was chosen for its status as a Malay cultural heritage with
high aesthetic and philosophical values. This study employed a quantitative approach
with a Pre-Experimental Design using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data
were collected through observation, documentation, and practical tests, including
pretest and posttest, and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests,
and N-gain with the assistance of SPSS software. The results revealed that the
implementation of the TPS model significantly improved students' learning outcomes.
In the Thinking stage, students were trained to critically reflect on the dance
movements they studied individually. The Pairing stage facilitated student discussions
and collaboration in pairs to practice dance movements, while the Sharing stage
allowed students to present their work to other groups. TPS also enhanced movement
synchronization, group cohesion, and students' confidence in performing the Zapin
dance. Data analysis showed an average increase in student scores by 30%, moving
from the "sufficient" to the "good" category after TPS implementation. This study
concludes that the TPS cooperative learning model is effective in improving Zapin
dance learning outcomes. In addition to fostering a deeper understanding of cultural
arts, the model promotes student collaboration and creativity. It is recommended that
the TPS model be applied to other cultural arts education at various educational
levels, with the integration of technology to support this method in enhancing
students' appreciation of local art and culture.
