ABSTRACT
The PT. X Palm Oil Mill is one of the palm oil producers in Riau. In its oil
processing activities, this factory emits NO2, SO2 and Particulate emissions from
the boiler chimney, furnace, and generator. In order to prevent the impact of these
emissions, dispersion modeling needs to be carried out using the AERMOD View
application consisting of AERMET and AERMAP. The purpose of this study was to
determine the pattern of emission distribution of NO2, SO2 and Particulate
pollutants from the boiler, furnace and generator of the PT. X PKS, to compare it
with ambient air quality standards based on Government Regulation of the
Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2021 Appendix VII, and to compare the results
of emission distribution simulations against changes in the rainy season and dry
season. The results of the NO2, SO2, and Particulate dispersion modeling from five
emission sources with maximum concentrations at 1 hour, 24 hours, and annually
lead to the northwest, southwest, southeast and southeast. The NO2 concentration
values from the modeling results in this study were 83.853 μg/m3 at 1 hour, 33.193
μg/m3 at 24 hours, and 2.399 μg/m3 at one year. The SO2 concentration values from
the modeling results in this study were 0.246 μg/m3 at 1 hour, 0.098 μg/m3 at 24
hours, and 0.009 μg/m3 at one year. The Particulate concentration value from the
modeling results in this study was 2.503 μg/m3 at 24 hours. Which is in accordance
with the ambient quality standards according to PP No. 22 of 2021. Based on the
research results in this final assignment, the results of pollutant dispersion
modeling from five emission sources in the dry season show higher concentrations
than the rainy season. This can occur due to meteorological differences in each
season such as the influence of wind speed and atmospheric stability.
