Penggunaan Berbagai Perbandingan Media Tanam Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Okulasi Durian (Durio Zibethinus Murr)

This research is purposing to know the best medium comparison for the
durian grafting seed growth. This research has conducted in Attempt Garden of
Agriculture Faculty in Riau University, started from July until October 2007. This
research is conducted using Complete Random Device (CRD) with 7 treatments
and 3 repentances, so that obtained 20 attempt units. The treatments are: only
Topsoil, Topsoil and Stable Manure compared by 3 : 2, Topsoil and Stable
Manure compared by 5 : 2, Topsoil and Stable Manure compared by 7 : 2, Topsoil
and Oil Palm Sludge compared by 3 : 2, Topsoil and Oil Palm Sludge compared
by 5 : 2, Topsoil and Oil Palm Sludge compared by 7 : 2. The parameter which
observed are the seed height (cm), the leaves amount (sheet), the leaves width
(cm2), the top stem twist (cm), and the seed dry weight (g). The observation result
is analyzed statistically and continued with the next test of DNMRT in a 5% level.
The research result shows that the best seed growth is reached at the plant medium
mixture of topsoil and stable manure with 7 : 2 comparison (3,9 kg topsoil : 1,1 kg
stable manure) and the lowest result is at the only topsoil control or plant medium.
