Pertumbuhan, Serapan K Dan Berat Pipilan Kering Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays L.) Pada Medium Gambut Bekas Bakar Yang Di Beri Urea Dan Tithonia diversifolia Sebagai Suber N
The research is about the growth, K absorbed and the weight of dry shelled
Corn (Zea mays. L) in turf which has been burnt and given the Urea and Tithonia
diversifolia as the source of N in green house experiment of Agriculture faculty of
Riau University at Binawidya street. This research has been done for 4 months,
from April to August 2007. The purpose of this research is to decide the best dose
of nitrogen through giving the organic such as Tithonia diversifolia and Urea as
the source of N in improving the growth and corn production. The research done
experiments by using complete random plant which is consist of 5 treatments and
3 repetitions. The treatments came from the organic (Tithonia diversifolia) and
Urea. In giving the treatments dose is based on the necessity of corn plant. That
treatment consist of A = 6,9 ton/ha Tithonia diversifolia and 0 Urea, B= 5,175
ton/ha Tithonia diversifolia and 75 kg/ha Urea, C= 3,45 ton/ha Tithonia
diversifolia and 150 kg/ha Urea, D= 1,725 ton/ha Tithonia diversifolia and 225
kg/ha Urea dan E= 0 Tithonia diversifolia and 300 kg/ha Urea. The result showed
that giving nitrogen from tithonia diversifolia and urea has invisible effect for the
parameter of stem circle, the speed of plant growth, the degree of the plant’s
growth, ratio of coronet, and K absorbed, where as the weight of shelled has
visible effect. Commonly giving the tithonia diversifolia treatment more than 3.45
ton/ha and urea can improve the growth and corn production than the other
treatment.
