Profil Korban Kekerasan Terhadap Perempuan Yang Diperiksa di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Tingkat IV Pekanbaru Periode 1 Januari - 31 Desember 2011

Violence against women is any action based on sex differences that result or may result in women's misery or physical suffering, sexual, or psychological. The aim of this research was to describe violence against women that examined at the Bhayangkara Hospital Level IV Pekanbaru in period 1st January, 2011 – 31th December 2011. The design of this research was a descriptive retrospective survey method using Visum et repertum (VER) as a measuring tool. Total criminal case was 634 cases. The most type of crime was physical assault about 45.1% with age of most victims were 24-44 years (48.6%). The violence against women victims were examined got bruises (62.8%), excoriations (44.6%) and the most location of the violence were in the head (47.5%). The most request for VER violence against women were from Pekanbaru district (92,6%) and Bukit Raya sub-district request was the highest among sub-district (19,6%).
