Kelimpahan Anemon Laut (Actiniaria) Di Perairan Pulau Kasiak Kota Pariaman Provinsi Sumatera Barat
The research on sea anemone abundance was conducted in December 2011 to January 2012 in Kasiak Island Waters of Pariaman, West Sumatera Province. The research was aimed to knowing the types and abundance of sea anemone (Actiniaria sp). The study used survey method by applying a quadrant trancect which consisting of three main stations. Each station was divided into two sub depths, i.e. 3 and 7 m, respectively. The results of the study found 2 species of sea anemone, i.e. Stichodactyla gigantea and Heteractis magnifica. The highest species abundance of sea anemone was recorded in station 2, i.e. 0,37 ind/cm2. The study did not record the sea anemone at station 1. The highest individual abundance was shown by Stichodactyla gigantea.
