Analisis Partisipasi Masyarakat Terhadap Kualitas Lingkungan Di Kelurahan Teluk Binjai Kota Dumai

A good environment was expected by most of the people, especially for a dense
city crowded by lots of neighborhood and less green area. To gain this conditions
society’s involvement are absolutely needed, particularly the citizen participation
to maintain a good environment quality such as a clean and comfortable
neighborhood. This research concludes that there is a positive correlation
between environment quality and citizen participation in Teluk Binjai residence.
The participation among the citizen is quite high, and also citizen view of good
environment in Teluk Binjai. This research also shows a weak correlation
between participation (x variable) and environment quality (y variable), where
the value of rank spearman is 0,342. The researcher advices an advanced
research, especially the potential factors that can treat the participation success
and also the factors that could increase or motivate citizen in environment
management programs.
