Pengaruh Tingkat Pendidikan dan Masa Kerja Terhadap Kompetens Pegawai dministrasidi Universitas Riau
Abstract: This study aimed to determine the competency of personnel
administration based on education level and years of service they have. This
research was conducted at the University of Riau from May 2013 to February
2014, using a research method in general to methods of testing the competence
of civil servants and the administration through a population sample with
sampling probability sampling technique proportionate stratified random sampling.
The result showed that the effect of educational level did not affect the
competence of employee competencies, This is due to the presence of mutations
between the units to another unit which of course has a different job description
that lead to the capabilities of an unskilled employee becomes longer because
they have to start learning in the new position, but working towards competency
period showed a positive contribution. This means that competence can be
enhanced through the length of employment, as well as competence can be
improved through increasing the level of education and years of service together.
