Writing is a necessary language skills to communicate indirectly with other people, writing is also a prolific and expressive activities. Is a fact that until now there are still a lot of spelling mistakes in the use of Indonesian for students. This means, there are still many of the students who have not been able to use the enhanced Indonesian spelling properly. Especially in writing essays. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the object in the observation technique increases the ability to write essays descriptions SDN 016 Marsawa Kuantan Singingi. This research is a form of classroom action research (Classroom Action Research). By involving 23 students elementary school fourth grade students. Data obtained from quantitative and qualitative data. With the formulation of the problem Is the application of object observation techniques can improve the ability to write essays descriptions fourth grade SDN 016 Marsawa the second semester of academic year 2012/2013. Based on action research conducted then hypothesis has been formulated in this study is "Through the application of object observation techniques can improve students' skills in essay writing descriptions in fourth grade SDN 016 Marsawa Kuantan Singingi. Ability students SDN 016 Marsawa in writing essay descriptions in the first cycle in middle category with an average value of 39,1% to reach classical and less category, however in the second cycle has been increased to the high category. This is evident from the average value reached 82,3% classical and well categorized. This action shows that the hypothesis is accepted truth.
