Sintesis Kalkon Inti Naftalen Dari Asetilnaftalen Dan 3 Hidroksibenzaldehid Dan Uji Aktivitasnya Sebagai Antibakteri
Two chalcone derivatives of acetylnaphthalene and 3-hidroxybenzaldehyde have been synthesized by aldol condensation with base catalyst. Compound of 3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-1-(naphthalene-1-il)prop-2-en-1-on (KM1) has been synthesized using stirring method with NaOH catalyst and has been obtained was in 75,52 %. Compound of 3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-1-(naphthalene-2-il)prop-2-en-1-on (KM2) has been synthesized using NaOH catalyst by grinding method and has been obtained was in 48,91 %. The structures of the synthesized compound were confirmed by UV,FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and MS measurements. Evaluation of antibacterial activity were done by agar diffusion method in concentration of 10 and 30 μg/disk for each evaluation compound. Bacteria that have been used for this evaluation were Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis (Gram positive bacteria) and Escherichia coli and Salmonella enteritidis (Gram negative bacteria). Compound of KM1 and KM2 have been shown different antibacterial activity against each bacterial.
