Bambu Betung Sebagai Alternatif Tulangan Pada Balok Beton
The increasing dependence of the use of reinforcing steel in reinforced concrete will impact the requirement will be reduced and costs are increasingly expensive, another alternative is used as a reinforcement with a cheap and easily obtained, namely in the form of reinforcement of bamboo skin. This is possible because the skin of bamboo has a higher tensile strength. Therefore, this study discusses the flexural capacity of concrete beam by using reinforcement bamboo, bamboo tensile strength results in this study reached an average of 161 MPa. Quality of the concrete used is the K-270. The test object beam bending capacity in the form of concrete blocks the size of 150x150x600 mm³ at the age of concrete 28 days. In this test specimen cracks on all beams occurs at 1/3 central span beams. From the analysis of results and discussion obtained voltage capacity flexure without reinforcement with average values of 5,4 MPa, and the bending stress bamboo reinforcement beams at the first crack is obtained with an average of 16 MPa, the beam can not be tested to the limit of maximum load because it was feared tool will be damaged.
