Reduksi Ammonia (Nh3) Dalam Wadah Tercemar Menggunakan Biofilter Zeolit Dengan Sistem Resirkulasi
The increase in aquaculture production will could result in increased cultivation of waste including ammonia. To reduce ammonia in the water one by using zeolite into the recirculation system in order to bind ammonia. The purpose of this research was to find out how the concentration of ammonia (NH3) reduced use of recirculation systems using zeolite and its effect on water quality parameters (DO, temperature and pH). Experimental method used was completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, four treatments and three replications. (P0 Without zeolite dose) (P1 3.79 g / Liter), (P2 7.58 g / Liter) (P3 11,37g / Liter). The results showed that increasing doses of zeolite significant effect on the concentration of ammonia and water quality parameters. The content of ammonia in the P0 range between 3,305- 3.002 mg / L, P1 from 3.291 to 1.565 mg / L, P2 3.287 to 1.348 mg / L, and the P3 3.287 to 1.131 mg / L. Ammonia reduction occurred in treatment P0 9,1%, P1 52,5% , P2 58,9% dan P3 65,5%. Water quality parameters during the study the highest temperature was 30.2 oC and the lowest is 29.1oC. The highest pH range is 8.3 and the lowest was 6.8, while the range for the highest dissolved oxygen at 5.5 mg / L and the smallest 4.9 mg / L. Water quality parameters of this research was the optimal range for aquaculture. Keywords: Zeolite, Ammonia, Recirculation, a biofilter.
