Unemployment is a labor problems experienced by many countries. Unemployment is often a problem in the economy, due to unemployment, productivity and incomes will be reduced so that it can cause poverty and other social problems. Manpower (Manpower) Pekanbaru has a very important role in addressing the increasing number of unemployed.
This study aims to look at the management of the Department of Labor in the administration of labor affairs in the city of Pekanbaru in 2014. As is the management is the process of government activities that are generally associated with efforts to exercise power in the State administration by implementing management functions. This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive research can be interpreted as solving the problems described by describing the state of the research subjects based on the facts that seen during the study and then connected using the existing theories.
The results showed that the management of the Department of Labor in the administration of the affairs of the city of Pekanbaru employment in 2014 is already well underway.
