This study was motivated by the low reading skills narrative discourse, with an average grade of 63.8. Among students who totaled 15 people only 8 students who completed KKM with classical completeness reach 46.67%. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted aims to improve the reading skills of narrative discourse fourth grade students of SDN 15 Lubuk Young Small Siak District of Bengkalis by applying the learning model Think Pair Share (TPS). Data collection instruments in this thesis is the teacher and student activity sheets and learning outcomes. This thesis presents the increase in the number of students who reach the KKM of 7 people on the base score to 9 people in the first cycle and increased to 15 people in the second cycle. This means that the sample classes have been completed in the classical. An increase in the average learning outcomes of basic score is 63.8 to 68 in the first cycle and 88 in the second cycle. An increase in the activity of the teacher. At the first meeting of the first cycle of teacher activity percentage was 50%, 70% the second meeting. While the first meeting of the second cycle with a percentage of 90%, and the second meeting increased 95%. While the student activity also increased that the first meeting of the first cycle of the percentage of student activity is 45%, 70% the second meeting, the first meeting of the second cycle of 80% and a second meeting with an average of 95%. Results of the study in class IV SDN 15 Lubuk Young Small Siak District of Bengkalis prove that the application of the model Application of the learning model Think Pair Share (TPS). can improve the reading skills of narrative discourse fourth grade students of SDN 15 Lubuk Young Small Siak District of Bengkalis by applying the learning model Think Pair Share (TPS).
