Mobilitas Mata Pencaharian Nelayan Di Desa Kelombok Kecamatan Lingga Kabupaten Lingga
Social mobility is the movement of a social class to another social class which consists of two types: vertical and horizontal social mobility. Open nature of the stratification system will give members of the public have the oppertunity to move their position or social mobility. Generally, the coastal communities as a search-eyed fishermen as resource encountered however, happens Desa Kelombok Fortress that most of them make the transition liveihood of traditional fishermen fishing transferring jobs as laborers, construction workers, and Wirasuasta.
This study aims to analyze and examine the mobility of livelihood of fishermen in the village Kelombok the District Lingga Lingga District. This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis technique used theory is the theory of social mobility of Horton and Hunt. The data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation. Analysis of the data in this study using a model of Miles and Huberman of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification.
Descriptive analysis was done from this study showed that the fishing community in the village of Kelombok the District Lingga Lingga Regency which was originally a traditional fishing, have made the process of mobility of livelihoods that lead to the types of social mobility is the mobility of the horizontal and vertical mobility in line with income and status they earn in the job. The factors that drives the mobility of livelihood of fishermen in the village of the District Lingga Kelombok these are the factors that are internal and external. Factors that internal nature such as the state of the economy, age, education and skills of fishermen to pursue his new job, while the driving factors that are external, namely due to high operating costs, pollution of sea water, fishing equipment that is still simple and rotted with age, and abundant free time provided that utilized mostly fishermen to find alternative new job as an adjunct to improve the socioeconomic status of the family.
