Perilaku Dokter Umum Praktik Swasta Terhadap Diagnosis Dan Tatalaksana Tuberkulosis Paru Berdasarkan International Standards For Tuberculosis Care (ISTC) Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
Indonesia is the second highest nation in the world with the cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. Riau province has not been able to achieve the indicators in TB program. Tuberculosis case detection rate (CDR) in Riau which is still below the target. International Standards for Tuberculosis Care (ISTC) is the standards TB treatment setting by WHO since 2006, but there are still many private general practitioners (PGPs) who didn’t know and have not trained about ISTC. This study aimed to determine the knowledge, attitude and practice of private general practitioners about the diagnosis and management of pulmonary tuberculosis based on ISTC. This study was a descriptive study. Data were collected from 36 PGPs in Indragiri Hilir Regency by using questionnaire instruments. Most of the PGPs had never heard about ISTC (83.3%) and never follow the ISTC training (88.9%). Private general practiotioners have moderate knowledge (50,0%) but PGPs working in the private sector alone had less knowledge (50.0%). Seventy five percents of PGPs have good knowledge about menegement of pulmonary tuberculosis based on ISTC. A private general practitioners have positive attitude (61.1%) and moderate practice (47.2%). The results of this study showed that knowledge and practice of PGPs has not reach the good category yet and many PGPs have not been exposed to the ISTC that needs to be socialization of ISTC.
