Pengaruh Hambatan Samping Terhadap Kinerja Jalan Akasia Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan
The high value of side barriers on a road segment will cause a decrease in road performance. The amount of side barriers is very influential on the capacity of road and vehicle speed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence side barriers as well as service levels to improve traffic performance. The research conducted in the form of traffic volume survey (LHR) to see vehicle density level, then side obstacle survey to see the magnitude of interference effect and the momentary speed survey both disturbed and undisturbed side barriers. The study was conducted at 200 meters on the Akasia Road. The next calculation is used with Indonesia Road Capacity Manual 1997 for the Urban Road. result of side barrier analysis showed that the highest vehicle volume that is equal to 1155,5 pcu/hour with degree of saturation 0,45 got service level B and average speed 33,9 km/hour. this shows the condition of the road is still feasible to be used so that no road repair is needed. The side obstacle level greatly affects the road performance decline for it needed handling solutions such as obeying the rules of traffic signs such as prohibition of parking dibadan road and awareness with road users to order and obedient while driving.
Keywords:side friction, traffic volume.
