Gambaran Fungsi Paru Akibat Terpapar Asap Kebakaran Hutan Pada Siswa Sma Negeri 2 Tambang

2013, Riau has the biggest peatlands ecosystem in Sumatera and had lost 800 hectars of the land due to forest fire. SMA Negeri 2 Tambang is located close to the location of forest fires The smoke from forest fires involve a health effects especially in lung functions. This study aim to asses the lungs function of students from SMA Negeri 2 Tambang. The study design was descriptive with cross sectional approach. The study included 100 of students taken by stratified random sampling. Respondents were asked to fill the questionnaire and do the examination using spirometry. From examination the respondent distribution of highest frequency was girl(69%) and domained for >10 years(62%). The description of lung function was 69% of the respndents showed a normal result, obstructive lung disorders by 5 persons (5%) and restrictive lung disorders by 26 persons (26%). The abnormal lung function of the students of SMA Negeri 2 Tambang were mostly shown by the male students (58%) and domained in the area for more than 10 years(58%).
