Profil Penderita Kanker Paru Stadium Iv Yang Dirawat Inap Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 2011-2016
Lung cancer is a major malignant disease and a major cause of death in the world. The disease affects all ages especially elderly. Lung cancer consists of four stages namely stage I-IV, of which stage IV is lung cancer with metastases. The purpose of this study is to describe profiles of patients with stage IV lung cancer, including location of metastases and the diagnostic tests to determine location of metastases. This research analysed medical record of patients with stage IV lung cancer admitted of RSUD Arifin Achmad. There were 81 cases (25.5%) of stage IV lung cancer between 2011-2016. The number of cases of stage IV lung cancer was increased from 3 cases (3.7%) in 2011 to 25 cases (30.9%) in 2016. Stage IV lung cancer was more frequent in males (76.5%) and age group of 45-59 years (53.1%). The organ system that often the target of lung cancer metastases is respiratory system (34.6%). CT-Scan more frequent to determine location of metastases is 53%. Smoking history was found in 8 patients (9.9%) but not in 6 patients (7.4%). However 67 patients (82.7%) didn’t have any data on smoking history. The number of cases of stage IV lung cancer was increased during period 2011-2016.
