Analisis Kepatuhan Minum Obat Ditinjau Dari Kepuasan Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Di Puskesmas Tambang Kabupaten Kampar
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that needs long-term therapy. Inadequate adherence reduces the effectiveness of treatment, leading to increased mortality, morbidity, and healthcare cost. Non-adherence issues are related to the health care quality, patient-related factors, social factors, and disease therapies. Patients’ satisfaction is one of important indicators for healthcare service quality. The aim of this research was to find out the correlation between Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients’ satisfaction and their medication adherence at Puskesmas Tambang, Kampar Regency. The analytical correlation with cross sectional method was carried out to 59 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus that fulfilled the inclusion criteria. The data were collected using modified Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire 18 (PSQ-18) and medication adherence questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using Spearman correlation test and the results were p=0.004 and r=0.365. It means there is a significant positive correlation between Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients’ satisfaction and their medication adherence at Puskesmas Tambang Kampar Regency with weak correlation.
