Gambaran Penggunaan Obat Inotropik Pada Pasien Yang Dirawat Di Ruang Cardiovascular Care Unit (Cvcu) Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (Rsud) Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau tahun 2016

Inotropic drugsareused to increasemiocardium contractility in decreasing cardiac output condition. Decreasing cardiac output can disrupt hemodynamic system leading to death. The purpose of this research is to describethe characteristicof patients, inotropic drugs usage, length of stay, and patients’ condition when discharged from CVCU ArifinAchmadGeneral Hospital Riau Province in2016. This research uses total sampling technique from medical record data with descriptive method. Inotropic drugs used mostly in males (57.0%) and age group > 65 years (26.6%). Inotropic drugs mostly used oncongestive heart failure (60.9%). The most used drugs wasnon-cathecolamine class of digitalis glycoside type (digoxin) with 53.6%. The most frequent inotropic drugs delivery was through parenteral route (46.4%). Most patients have length of stay in the hospital ≤ 7 days (44,9%) and most patients discharged from CVCU return home with clinical improvement (47.3%).Inotropic drugs usage was associated with the severity of the disease and the state of the patient in response to treatment. Based on the overall data outcome clinic patients generally improved. This suggests that inotropic use may improve the hemodynamic state and reduce the risk of decreased cardiac output.
