Gambaran Penatalaksanaan Paraffinoma Penis Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 2011-2017
Penile paraffinoma or Sclerosing Lipogranuloma is a deformity of the penis caused by the self-injection of certain liquid to increase the size of the penis. These injections can stimulate multiple undesired reactions that can eventually cause an inability to achieve sexual activities. Therefore it is important to know the profile of management on penile paraffinoma by age, duration, anatomical location, and management of penile paraffinoma. This is a descriptive study. The research took place in Arifin Achmad regional general hospital of Riau Province involving 9 patient medical records by total sampling. The result showed that penile paraffinoma cases occurred mostly at the average age of 25-35 years old which was 44.4%. The mostly found duration from initial injection until the diagnosis of penile paraffinoma were over 1 year (66.7%). The most common anatomical location was shaft penile and scrotum (44.4%). The most common management was Simple excision with primary closure (55.7%).
