ABSTRACT
Research on calculation of electric potential of charge conducting sphere in a uniform electric field which is obtained by solving Laplace equation in spherical coordinates has been carried out. In this case, the Laplace equation spherical only depend on two coordinates that is distance ( and angle . Electric potential equation further used to determine the electric field outside of the conducting sphere and its surface charge density. Computer software GUI MATLAB was developed to calculate and visualize in graphical form of electric potential, electric field, and surface charge density on charge spherical conductors in uniform electric field with variations of different functions such as distance and angle of a sphere. Therefore, in this research two computer programs have been developed. These two programs consist of menu program and main program display Grapihical User Interface (GUI). Grapihical results are displayed into a 3-D. The results showed that the electric potential of spherical conductors in uniform electric field as a function distance and angle , the greater the distance change, then the smaller the electric potential value. Furthermore, the angular function of the equation causes electric potential, electric field, and surface charge density to oscillate periodically.
