Isolasi Dan Potensi Minyak Atsiri Daun Surian (Toona Sureni (Blume) Merr) Sebagai Antirayap

Termitecontrol measures are still rely on conventional way using insecticides or termisida containing the group of organochlorine, organophosphates, pyrethroids, phenyl pyrazole, and nitro guanidine. Termisida is powerful, but it has a negative effect in terms of safety of the operator and the surrounding community, non-degraddable, causing air pollution, and poison of to other biota. Surian plants contain compounds that have the potential as a natural insecticide and antifeedant against insects. In this study, essential oil of surian leaves were extracted using clevenger apparatus. It produced 2.15% after 6 hours distillation. GC-MS analysis produced 17 major components of β-caryophyllene (22.62%). The oil showed antitermite activity with LC50 value of (20.13%).
