Kelimpahan Dan Keanekaragaman Meiofauna Di Zona Littoral Sebagai Bioindikator Lingkungan

ABSTRACT
Information on the abundance and diversity of meiofauna as bioindicator in Indonesia’s littoral zone is still similarly, the abundance and diversity of meiofauna in Riau Province, especially in Bengkalis Island. This research aimed to find out the abundance and diversity of meiofauna as bioindicator in Selat Baru and Pambang Pesisir of Bengkalis Island Riau Province, where in both locations had different sediment type. This study was conducted on April 2017-March 2018 using purposive sampling method. Each location consists of four stations. Each station is taking three replicates. The abundance of meiofauna in Selat Baru and Pambang Pesisir was analyzed by t-test (Paired Samples-t Test), while the meiofauna diversity was analyzed by Shannon-Wiener index of diversity. Meiofauna found in the study sites consisted of Nematodes, Polychaeta, Copepoda, Ostracoda and Tardigrada. Species of Nematodes in Selat Baru are 28 species, followed by Ostracoda 18 species, Copepoda 7 species, Polychaeta 3 species and Tardigrada 1 species. Species of Nematodes in Pambang Pesisir are 7 species, followed by Ostracoda 3 species, Copepoda 1 species, Polychaeta 1 species. Nematodes were the most highly rated abundance in the Selat Baru followed by Polychaeta and Copepoda, while in Pambang Pesisir Polychaeta was the highest meiofauna of abundance followed by Nematodes and Copepods. The abundance of meiofauna in Selat Baru was higher (391,10 ind/10cm2) than Pambang Pesisir (39,32 ind/10cm2). The result of t-test analysis showed that the abundance of meiofauna in both sites was significantly different (Sig = 0.663> 0.05). The index of meiofauna diversity in Selat Baru was higher (H '= 2,87) than Pambang Pesisir (H' = 1,34). The diversity of meiofauna in Selat Baru belonged to medium category, while in Pambang Pesisir had low categories.
