Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Zooplankton Di Wadukbandar Kayangan Lembah Sari Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir Kota Pekanbaru
Zooplankton is a microscopic aquatic organisms that has limited movement and represent as natural food resources in aquatic systems. A research aims to determine types and abundance of zooplankton has been carried out on March-April 2018 in the Bandar Kayangan Lembah Sari Reservoir. There are four stations namely Station 1 (in the Ambang River riverin zone), Station 2 (in the Merbau River riverin zone), Station 3 (in the transition zone) and Station 4 (in the lacustrine zone). In each station, there were 3 sampling points: in the surface, in the middle of water column and in the bottom of water. Water samples were taken 3 times, once/week. Water quality parameters measured were temperature, transparency, DO, pH and phosphate. Results shown that there are 7 classes present, namely: Monogononta (6 species), Copepods (4 species), Branchiopods (3 species), Eurotatoria (2 species), Crustaceans (2 species), Euglenoidea (1 species) and Tubulinea (1 species). Zooplankton abundance in the Bandar Kayangan Lembah Sari Reservoir range from 506-1029 organisms/L. The most common zooplankton are copepods. Water quality parameters were as follows, temperature 27-29 0C, transparency, 74-85 cm, DO 4.1- 7.69 mg/L, pH 5 and phosphate 0.03-0.1 mg/L. Based on the type of zooplankton found, the Bandar Kayangan Lembah Sari Reservoir can be categorized as eutrophic. Keywords: Water quality, Lembah Sari Lake, Riverine Zone.
