Gambaran Penderita Filariasis Limfatik Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau Tahun 2012-2017

Lymphatic filariasis is a chronic disease that can cause disability and still a health problem in Indonesia. Lymphatic filariasis patients in Riau Province 2015 had reached 258 and most cases happended in Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. The purpose of this research to describe the lymphatic filariasis patients according to age, sex, occupation, lymphedema status, lymphedema location, and treatment management in Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir period 2012-2017. This research is a descriptive-retrospective study that held from July-December 2018. The samples were collected from patient’s medical record in 6 puskesmas that fulfilled all of the inclusion criteria. The result of this research were analyzed and showed in frequency tables and served in percentage. The results showed that the incidence of lymphatic filariasis in Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir was 61 people and the highest incidence was at Puskesmas Sungai Piring 68,9% (42 people), men 82% (50 people), age 15-64 years 80,3% (49 people), farmers 44.3% (27 people). There were 59 lymphatic filariasis patients (96.7%) that had positive lymphedema status and the most lymphedema locations were leg 89.8% (53 people), all patients had been given Dietilkarbamasin citrate. Lymphatic filariasis could be affected by incidence of host contact with vectors that had been infected with filarial parasites. Keywords: Lymphatic filariasis, lymphedema, Dietilcarbamazin citrate
