This research is about the impact of culinary tourism on the economy of coastal communities in Tiram Beach, Nagari Tapakis, Ulakan Tapakis Sub District, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this research to (1) know the characteristics of visitors, business people, fishermen and coastal communities in the Tiram Beach culinary tourism area (2) know the economic impact of Tiram Beach culinary aktivities on the economy of the local community. The research method used was the survey method by making observations directly to the field, the population in this study were visitors to 7.416 people determined by the slovin formula, 12 people in the restaurant business, 5 fishermen and the Korong Tiram community 100 family heads. The results of this research indicate that the average visitor who frequently visits is aged 28-33 years with the job of visitors being civil servants and earning more than IDR 2.000.000.00. Economic effect value is estimated using a multiplier effect apporoach, namely direct economic effect of IDR 33.813.004.00, indirect economic effect of IDR 29.900.006.00 and induced economic effect of IDR 13.761.060.00.
