Studi Komparatif Morfometrik, Meristik Dan Pola Pertumbuhan Ikan Paweh (Osteochilus Hasselti C.V) Di Sungai Tarai Dan Sungai Sibam Provinsi Riau
Osteochilus hasselti was a type of freshwater fish that inhabit the Tarai River that has good water quality and the Sibam River that has been polluted. The difference of water condition may affects the fish condition in general. A research aims to understand the morphometric, meristic and growth patterns of O. hasselti was conducted from March-April 2018. There were 108 fishes (57 fishes from the Tarai River and 51 fishes from the Sibam River). There were 26 morphological characteristics measured and 6 meristical characteristics counted. The meristical characteristics of the fish from Tarai River was as follow, D.III.15-18, P.13-15, V.I.8, A.III.5, C.21-23, while those of the Sibam River were D.III.16-18, P.13-15, V.I.8, A.III.5, C.22-23. The number of scales before the dorsal fin was 11, arround the body was 26, arround the tail was 16, and along the lateral line was 33-35. There were 3 morphometrical characteristic differences between male and female in the Tarai River. In female fish, body height and anal fin height longer than those of the male, but male has longer eye diameter than female. In the Sibam River there are 7 morphometrical characteristic differences. In female, the fish body weight, the base length of the anal fin and the base length of pelvic fin were longer than those of the male, but the male has longer distance of mouth to eye, eye diameter, distance of the mouth to operculum, anal fin height and the base length of pelvic fin. The length-weight relationship of the fish from Tarai River were negative allometric, 2.92 in male and 2.96 in female, while those of the Sibam River were positive allometric, 3.10 in male and 3.11 in female. Keywords: Freshwater fish, morphological characteristics, meristical characteristics, length-weight relationship
