Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Perifiton Pada Substrat Kaca Di Sungai Kampar Kiri, Desa Mentulik Kabupaten Kampar

Kampar Kiri River is located in Riau, there are fisheries and domestic activities that potential in affecting water quality. To understand the abundance of periphyton present in the river, a study has been conducted in April 2017. There were 3 stations namely station 1, station 2 and station 3. Water quality measured were transparency, temperature, disolved oxygen, current velocity and pH. Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/week. Results shown that there were 18 species of periphyton, they were included in 5 classes. Bacillarophyceae (7 species), Chlorophyceae (4 species), Cyanophyceae (3 species), Euglenophyta (2 species) and Dinophyceae (2 species). The periphyton abundance in the Kampar Kiri River was 9,734-32,116 cell/cm2. Based on the type of periphyton present, it can be concluded that the Kampar Kiri River can be categorized as mesotrophic.
