Motivasi Kerja Karyawan Housekeeping Di Hotel Comfort Kota Dumai Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
Motivation is a condition that moves employees to be able to achieve the goals that have been determined. An individual motivation may arise from within the individual (intrinsic motivation) and can arise from outside of the individual itself (extrinsic motivation), both have an effect on the behavior and performance (performance). Therefore, the authors are interested to examine about the motivation of housekeeping employees who work at the Comfort Hotel, Dumai City, Riau Province.
The sample used in this research is all housekeeping employees in Comfort Hotel which amounted to 20 people by using census method. For data collection techniques in this study using questionnaires. The technique used in data processing is quantitative descriptive method to classify the data and then compiled by using the frequency and see the value of mode, by using Likert scale as a measuring tool.
Based on the result of the research, it is found that the sub variable of internal factor of employees are in motivated category. While the value of work motivation of housekeeping employee from sub variable of external factor is in less motivated category. The total value obtained from the overall average of internal and external factors is 3 points.
