Pengaruh Teknik Pengawetan Terhadap Gambaran Makroskopik Oran Paru Tikus Putih (Rattus norvegicus) Galur Wistar Menggunkan Larutan Formaldehid 37%

Cadaver embalming by certain chemicals is used to inhibit decay and maintain the external appearance in order to keep it remain similar to their conditions during life. This study was conducted to determine the effect of the embalming technique on macroscopic of pulmonary organs of wistar rat (Rattus norvegicus) using 37% formaldehyde. This study involved 15 male (Rattus norvegicus) wistar rats divided into 3 groups; control group, cavity embalming technique group, and vascular embalming technique group. This study showed significant consistency of pulmonary organ between each group. In condition, we found non significant difference in term of shape and color of pulmonary organ between cavity embalming techniques group and vascular embalming techniques group, but there was a significant difference between the control group and the treatment group. It can be concluded that the cavity embalming technique has more maximal embalming results compared to the vascular technique in the organs inside the cavity.
