Pengaruh Kombinasi Latihan Beban Dengan Metode Pyramid Set Dan Konsumsi Susu Tinggi Whey Protein Terhadap Peningkatan Massa Otot
Weight training with pyramid set method and high whey protein milk consumption are effective methods to increase muscle mass. There are not many studies that combined these 2 methods to increase the muscle mass . The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of combination : pyramid weight training sets and consumption of high whey protein milk to increase the muscle mass. Muscle mass studied are abdominal, chest, upper arm, forearm , and shoulder. This study was a quasi-experimental one group with a pre and post test design. Subjects were 15 members of a fitness center in Pekanbaru using quota sampling technique. The study was done in 8 weeks, with 32 exercise sessions and consumption of 32 g whey protein before and after each exercise. Measuring tape were used to measure muscle hypertrophy, microtoise and weight scale to measure body mass index.
