Prevalensi Sputum Basil Tahan Asam Positif Pada Pasien Tuberkulosis Paru Kasus Baru Dengan Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 2014-2018
Microbilogical examination of the acid fast bacilli (AFB) is an important adjuct test in diagnosing pulmonary TB. In most cases, when symptoms of pulmonary TB is found, the results of the AFB test will be positive. This study aims to determine the prevalence of positive AFB in the smear of patients with new case of pulmonary TB with type-2 DM in Arifin Achmad general kospital Riau Province, period 2014-2018. The method used in this research is a comparative descriptive retrospective study design and the data sources are patient’s medical record. Sample is determined by the total sampling method. Results shown in this study stated that the highest age was 46-55 years (41,2%), Enterprencus is the highest number of 35,3% and men has a higher number of 60,8% from the sex prespective. The results of petients whose blood glucose levels are ≥ 200mg/dl Was 86,3%. Most major symtoms are shortness of breath with the number of 58,8%. The results of the examination of the positive image of the positive AFB smear in the most recent case were 58,8%.
