Pembuatan Kontur Suseptibilitas Magnetik Lahan Pertanian Kelurahan Maharatu Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine the magnetic properties such as magnetic degree, magnetic induction, magnetic susceptibility, and mass suseptibility of agricultural soil in Kelurahan Maharatu Pekanbaru. The sample was collected using grid method for 78 point locations. Then, the samples ware cleaned to discard the rubbish or other materials other than soil. The separating of magnetic particle and non magnetic particle was performal using Neodibium iron boron magnet (NeFeB). The value of magnetic degree was obtained by comparison between mass of concentrate and mass of sample. Total magnetic induction was measured using magnetic probe Pasco PS-2162. The magnetic induction of solenoid was measured as a function of solenoid current that was 2-8 A in which the distance of probe was kept constant that was 1 mm from one of the end of the solenoid, the magnetic induction was also measured as a function of distance from one of the end of the solenoid as the current was kept constant that was 8 A. The results showed that the magnetic degree of the samples is in the range of 0,1% to 0,419%. When electric current was increased, the magnetic induction is also increased and the magnetic induction decreases as the distance between the sensor and the solenoid is larger. The value of magnetic susceptibility are varied from 892,508 x 10-8 m3/Kg – 2067,016 x 10-8 m3/Kg. From these values, it can be said that magnetic particles of the agricultural soil in Kelurahan Maharatu Pekanbaru are in the interval of ilmenite phose (FeTiO3). The mapping of magnetic degree, magnetic induction, magnetic susceptibility, and mass suseptibility of the sample was carried out using “Surfer 11” software.
