Infestasi Pediculus Humanus Capitis Serta Faktor Risikonya Pada Anak-Anak Suku Sakai Di Sdn 57 Desa Kesumbo Ampai Kabupaten Bengkalis
Pediculosis capitis is a head or hair infestation in human caused by Pediculus humanus capitis. The infestations often affects school-age children and is widespread in densely populated environments and has poor hygiene behaviors such as in rural areas. Some risk factors that cause pediculosis capitis are; hair length, hair type hair wash frequency, use of comb or hair accessories together and use of bedding or bed together. The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence and description of risk factors of pediculosis capitis cases among of sakai children in SDN 57 Kesumbo Ampai Village Bengkalis. This study was conducted in November 2018 to February 2019. Theres 87 respondents was taken using consecutive sampling. The data used were head examination to see if there are eggs or adult lice, and guided interviews using questionnaires on the subject of research. From this research, the proportion of pediculosis capitis incidence was 36 respondents (41,4%). The highest infestations of Pediculus humanus capitis in Sakai children is curly hair (36,6%), hair length extend to the shoulder (88,5%), washing hair ≥ 3 times or more a week (40,8%), children who do not exchange hair tools (40,0%,) and the children who do not sleep together (38.9%).
