Gambaran Komplikasi Pada Ibu Hamil Dengan Diabetes Melitus Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 2013-2017
Gestational diabetes melitus(GDM) is defined as glucose intolerance of variable degree with onset or firstrecognition during pregnancy. The prevalence of gestational diabetes mellitus in Indonesia is 1.9% -3.6% of pregnancies in general. This research is to determine the overview of complication in pregnant women with diabetes mellitus in Arifin Achmad General Hospital, Riau Province from 2013-2017. This research is retrospective descriptive study using medical record of patients. Univariate analysis was performed to assess prevalence of pregnancy, characteristics of pregnant women with diabetes melitus and frequency distribution of complication during pregnancy. The result of this research is the prevalence of pregnant women with diabetes melitus was 0,34% (30 cases). Out of 30 pregnant women, most of them were > 35 years old (60%), had BMI categorized as obese with ≥ 25 kg/m2 (76.67%), had history of diabetes mellitus (83.33%), had family history of diabetes melitus (56.67%) and multiparous (73.33%). Frequency distribution of complication in mother showed preeclampsia (63.33%) and infection (10%), and complication in baby showed macrosomia (33.33%) and preterm labor (3.33%). Conclusions from this research that there Complications in mothers include preeclampsia (19 cases) and infection (3 cases). Complications in baby include macrosomia (10 cases) and preterm labor (1 case).Keywords: GDM, characteristics, complication.
