Deteksi Protozoa Usus Oportunistik Dan Faktor Risikonya Pada Anak Suku Sakai Di Sdn 57 Desa Kesumbo Ampai Kecamatan Bathin Solapan Kabupaten Bengkalis
Opportunistic intestinal protozoan are parasites that were not previously considered important, but now can cause problem health in humans. One area that at risk of infected with protozoan is an isolated area with people who lack hygiene. The objective of this study was to know the description of opportunistic intestinal protozoan and its risk factors among Sakai Tribe children at National Elementary School number 57 in Kesumbo Ampai Village, Bathin Solapan Sub-District, Bengkalis District. This study is a cross sectional analytic study conducted in September 2018 until January 2019. Sample of this study amounted 84 children. Fecal examination used modified Ziehl-Neelsen and Risk factors were assessed using a questionnaire by guided interview. The results of the examination showed that 39.3% of children detected with opportunistic intestinal protozoa consisting of 22.6% Blastocystis hominis, 18.6% of Cryptosporidium sp and undetected Isospora belli and Cyclospora cayetanensis. In this study there was no correlation between poor handwashing habits, bowel habits, food hygiene, drinking water treatment, nail cutting habits and poor vegetables treatment habits of the incidence of opportunistic intestinal protozoa.
