Profil Penderita Sepsis Di Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Januari - Desember 2017
Sepsis is life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection. Septic shock is a subset of sepsis with circulatory and cellular/metabolic dysfunction associated with a higher risk of mortality. Sepsis and septic shock are major healthcare problems, affecting millions of people around the world each year. This study is a descriptive retrospective study to determine the profile of sepsis patients in the ICU of Arifin Achmad General Hospital Riau Province in the January - December 2017 period. The sample were patients in ICU of Arifin Achmad General Hospital Riau Province in the January – December 2017 period. Total of 54 samples were obtained with the most common age group in sepsis patient was the 36-45 years and >65 years for 14 people (25.9%) in each group, there were 28 female(51.9%), 26 male (48.1%), the highest number of underlying diseases was respiratory that consists of 12 people (2221%), length of stay of 2-7 days were 30 people (55.5%), with severity in the condition of sepsis 28 people (51.9%), the highest ICU exit conditions died as many as 51 people (94.4%).Keywords: sepsis, septic shock, infection, ICU
