Pola Bakteri Dan Resistensi Antibiotik Pada Pasien Sepsis Di Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 1 Januari - 31 Desember 2017
Sepsis is life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by an imbalanced body response to infection. sepsis is caused by bacteria, fungi, virus, or parasite. sepsis patient is usually admitted to Internsive Care Unit (ICU) and antibiotic administration is needed in sepsis treatment. Antibiotic resistance is a result of irrational antibiotic usage. Antibiotic resistance is a serious problem in sepsis patient since it increases morbidity and mortality. This descriptive retrospective study purpose is to know the characteristic of sepsis patients, specimen identification, bacteria analysis, and antibiotic resistance of sepsis patient in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The study sample was septic patients in the ICU that has the complete data of age, sex, culture specimens, positive bacterial culture results, and antibiotic resistance test. The results showed 27 samples, consisting of men 51.85% and women 48.15%, the highest age> 65 years 25.93%. The total of culture specimens that grows pathogenic bacteria were 37 specimens, 67.57% comes from sputum and 18.92% from blood, all bacteria were classified as Gram negative and the highest was A.baumanii 37.85%. All bacteria were resistant to amipicillin and still have high sensitivity to amikacin (72.98%) and tigecycline (51.36%).. Keywords : Antibiotic resistance, Sepsis, Intensive Care Unit
