Helminthic infestation is an environmental-based disease, one of them is the intestinal helminthic which transmitted through soil, thats frequently called Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH). Specieses of STH which usually infested humans are Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale. Helminthiasis can cause reduction of physical development, intelligence, mental, achievement, and immune system. The purpose of this study was to determine risk factors and incident of infestation associated by STH i.e the habit of hand washing, defecation, food hygiene, drinking water treatment, the habit of using footwear and habit of cutting nails. This study was observasional analytic study with crossectional approach. The population were 92 students and 84 sample of state public elementary school 57 in Kesumbo Ampai. Risk Factor that significantly related to the incidence of helminthiasis were hand washing (p value = 0.002), defecation (p value = 0.029), food hygiene (p value = 0.005), the habit of using footwear (p value = 0.000), and habit of cutting nails (p value = 0.012). The incidence of STH in this study base on Ministry of Heath Regulations No. 17 of 2017 is very high. Keywords: Infestation of Soil Transmitted Helmiths, STH, Suku Sakai
