Gambaran Faktor-Faktor Risiko Kanker Penis Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Januari 2013-Desember 2018
Penile cancer is one of the malignancies in urology. This cancer can develop in any part of the penis, especially most often happen at the foreskin in men who have not been circumcised and at the glans penis. Various risk factors related to lifestyle have a close influence with these cases such as smoking history, age, tribe and religion. The high mortality rate associated with this disease becomes one of the health problems if it is not detected early. This study was to describe the risk factors for penile cancer that were handled at Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital, Riau Province. This research was a descriptive study on 20 patients who underwent outpatient treatment at the Riau Provincial General Hospital. The results of the study showed that penile cancer often occurs in the age group of 46-55 years which is as many as 8 (40%) people. The most ethnic groups was the Batak tribe with a percentage of 60%. The average patient came from the city of Pekanbaru with a percentage of 25%. As many as 60% of patients have a history of smoking and as many as 75% of patients are not circumcised. All penile cancer patients had histopathological results in the form of squamous cell carcinoma. From this study it can be concluded that penile cancer often occurs in the age group of 46-55 years who was a smoker and was not circumcised with squamous cell carcinoma as the most common type and generally patients was from the Batak tribe.Keywords: penile cancer, squamous cell carcinoma, risk factors
