Gambaran Hasil Pemeriksaan Tes Cepat Molekuler Genexpert Mtb/Rif Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Juni 2017 – Juni 2018
Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The examination method for diagnosis of TB that widely used is smear microscopy examination which has a low sensitivity and cannot determine drug-resistant TB. Moleculer Rapid Test GeneXpert MTB/RIF which can accurately detect M. tuberculosis and rifampicin resistant for less than 2 hours. The aim of this study is to find out the description of examination result of Moleculer Rapid Test GeneXpert MTB/RIF examination at Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital Riau Province in June 2017 – June 2018. This study was using descriptive retrospective design with total sampling technique from patients who examined by Moleculer Rapid Test GeneXpert MTB/RIF examination at Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital Riau Province in June 2017 – June 2018. The results showed that the most examination result of Moleculer Rapid Test GeneXpert MTB/RIF were suspected cases of MDR TB 1,703 (67.7%), relapse cases 1,215 (71.3%), originating from Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital 1,417 (56.2%), M. tuberculosis results were not detected ( 1,707 (67.8% ), and there were 51 (17.1%) Ziehl-Neelsen negative results but that was positive with GeneXpert. The conclusion of this study is that the Moleculer Rapid Test GeneXpert MTB/RIF examination has been used well in Arifin Ahmad Regional General Hospital as a diagnostic tool for TB and drug resistant TB in Pekanbaru City.
